My Bottom 10 Moments Being a Primary Teacher in London
Being a primary teacher in London is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I remember talking to so many teachers before I left who had done it and
I’m an Australian trained teacher, teaching internationally for the past 4 years. I am passionate about international education, living my best life and incorporating tech into the classroom.
I have travelled to 49 countries (and counting), taught in 5 (including placements) and have so many more teaching and travelling plans.
I am a big supporter of the philosophy: you don’t need to be good at something to enjoy it. I picked up digital art in lockdown and also love reading trashy fantasy romance novels (the trashier the better), embroidery, football and recently started going to adult gymnastics classes to learn how to do a back flip.
There is nothing I am more thankful to my parents for than the love and wonder of travelling the world and seeing new places. After High School, when people asked me what was next, I would say “I don’t know what, but I know it will be far away from here; somewhere new.” Not much has changed.
One of the many reasons I became a teacher is because I knew I could go anywhere, and still be fulfilled in my job.
And it is only just the beginning, currently I study a Masters in International Education and Bilingualism at a University in Spain.

Teaching different international curriculums is one of the great benefits of teaching abroad as a qualified teacher. Though that doesn’t mean you’ll have to. One
